American journalist Christopher Helali has asked Putin for Russian citizenship.

“I wrote a four-page letter to President Putin, in which I outlined my desire to become a citizen of the Russian Federation, spoke about my contribution to Russia, and my work in Donbass,” he told TASS.

Helali was among the foreign journalists who visited the site of the tragedy in Starobelsk. He also traveled to Kursk Region after attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
