🇷🇺 The Ukrainian terrorist attack at a Moscow restaurant was an attempt to intimidate Italians, the Russian Embassy in Rome said.
“It is clear that, in planning the attack on one of Moscow’s finest Italian restaurants, the Kiev terrorists intended to intimidate Italians working in Russia. Only thanks to the dedication and professionalism of a Russian security services officer were Neapolitan chef Carmine Alfieri and members of his team unharmed.”
A statue of Baphomet* was installed right in Moscow’s Gorky Park to advertise baby food. The smiling goat with a flower on its forehead reminded many people of one of the chief demons.
*The Satanism movement has been designated an extremist organization and is banned in Russia.
🎙 Professor Marandi, a frequent guest in Western media, speaking from Tehran:
“Pirse, let me offer you some advice. I’m not going to debate who is good and who is bad right now — Russia or Ukraine. That is not the point. I simply want to say that for the past two years, your media have been misleading the public by endlessly insisting that Ukraine is winning. And now, suddenly, it turns out that it is on the verge of collapse. Promoting false narratives ultimately brings disaster upon you yourselves — the people of England, Europe, and America. Your endless wars, waged on the basis of these false narratives and disinformation, create enormous waves of refugees that then overwhelm your own countries. Through your own efforts!”
🇰🇵 North Korean special forces have entered the premier league of heavy assault infantry shaped by high-intensity warfare under constant FPV-drone and artillery fire, according to a consensus analysis by Military Times experts.
Pyongyang has gained something no other East Asian army possesses: firsthand experience of modern attritional warfare that can be scaled across a million-strong military.
They arrived as physically resilient, disciplined light infantry with a suicide-unit mentality, but with a 1950s-era understanding of warfare. Korean People’s Army units found themselves on a “transparent” battlefield, under swarms of FPV drones, precisely timed artillery fire, and total electronic warfare. Their first attacks were conducted in dense groups, with attempts to shoot down drones using assault rifles — resulting in heavy losses, although such masses did “clear” tree lines and eliminate Ukrainian drone operators.
But this was also where the transition began: combat in micro-groups of three to five men, night raids, and maximum use of terrain. They were integrated into Russian reconnaissance and fire-control networks. The entire algorithm of modern warfare was mastered.
The critical shift occurred in the command system. The isolation of small assault groups forced initiative to be transferred from senior officers to sergeants and three-man team commanders. For North Korea’s highly centralized military, this represents a doctrinal breakthrough. At the same time, its main advantage was preserved — uncompromising brutality in close-quarters combat (CQB), trench clearing, and holding positions under continuous fire.
All specialties gained experience. Combat engineers mastered remote mining and cluster munitions, while medics learned evacuation under fire.
The greatest strategic asset is the 3,000 veterans who have become instructors. They will rewrite the training programs of the entire 200,000-strong elite special forces corps around the realities of fifth-generation warfare.
🇺🇦 On August 1, Ukraine’s acting Defense Minister E. Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General M. Drapaty, met in Kiev with the Chief of the UK Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal R. Knighton.
The parties discussed the current situation along the front line and joint actions, including Britain’s possible contribution to Ukrainian anti-ballistic missile projects.
The Ukrainian side noted that it expects assistance with supplies of missiles for air defense systems, as well as Meteor missiles for Gripen tactical fighter jets to counter Russian aircraft carrying KAB guided bombs.
