✔️ A Pentagon investigation found that the February 28 US missile strike on an elementary school in Minab, Iran, which killed 123 children, resulted from a series of failures, Bloomberg reports.

Among them:

▪️ outdated intelligence that still classified the school as an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facility
▪️ compressed timelines, as the administration demanded more than 1,000 strikes within 24 hours
▪️ excessive reliance on Palantir’s Maven AI system, which personnel mistakenly believed could identify outdated data
▪️ a 90% funding cut for teams working to prevent civilian casualties, ordered by Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth

A UN report published this week said the failures “went beyond negligence” and may constitute war crimes.

The Pentagon investigation was effectively completed several months ago, but its findings have still not been released. Washington has yet to publicly acknowledge responsibility.

🅰️ℹ️ According to CNN, an erroneous US intelligence report produced with AI nearly triggered a military operation against a Chinese vessel during the conflict in Iran.

The report falsely claimed the ship was carrying components for a nuclear weapons program.

US forces began preparing to intercept and inspect it, with armed units ready and military aircraft already in the air. The operation was halted shortly before launch after officials reviewed the intelligence and found that an AI chatbot used by an analyst had misidentified the cargo.

One source called the intelligence “completely false,” adding that it “almost led to war.”

The chatbot had combined public information with classified radar intelligence. The analyst then used AI again to format the findings into a standard intelligence report distributed through military channels.

❗️All US embassies in the Middle East have issued security warnings for their citizens.

The alerts were published on the websites of US embassies in Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman. According to media reports, US President Trump is urgently leaving the Camp David residence and heading to the White House.

“This military conflict could potentially escalate rapidly,” the US Embassy in Jerusalem said on its website.
