🚢🇰🇷 South Korea has sent its first vessel through the Northern Sea Route (NSR), seeking to speed up trade with Europe.

The PanStar Acro departed the port of Busan and is heading to Europe through the Arctic, marking Seoul’s first test of whether melting sea ice can provide a commercially viable alternative to the Suez Canal route.

On 22 August, the 2,700-TEU container ship left Busan and will travel through the Bering Strait and Arctic Ocean to Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

According to South Korean outlet Money Today, the round trip is expected to take around 40–45 days.

🇺🇦🇫🇮 Ukraine plans to produce drones in Finland.

Kiev and Helsinki have signed an agreement on UAV development and military cooperation, Vladimir Zelensky said. The drones will be used for the needs of Ukraine and Europe.

💬 “Our companies have signed documents to expand capabilities in maritime unmanned systems and to establish a facility for producing ground robotic systems,” the Ukrainian president wrote.

No details have been provided on launch dates, production sites or expected output volumes.

▪️ Earlier, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said the country should try to resume dialogue with Russia within the next two months.
