Tickets are now available for AIBUNAWA 1 in Lancashire, my first time teaching in the UK. 3-4 April 2027 The Studio NW With Elodie Red Five tickets are reserved for the northern England rope community until December, and then will be open to all. Contact KoumanawaUK for ticket info, on Fetlife or Instagram.

Last month, I had the honor and pleasure of sharing love of ipponnawa, one-rope play, with my wonderful wife Oki, at Onawa Asobi Europe 2026. We wanted to show that stripping rope down to its most minimal expression can be just as emotionally meaningful and potent as more technically complex ways of tying. I will always come back to the profoundly impactful practice of one-rope tying.

Next weekend, I'm teaching and performing in Lisbon with dearest Cath! There is still one couples ticket available for the workshop, and spaces available for the performance - there are very few opportunities to explore this style in Portugal, don't miss out!
