All nasdaq gains for year came from 6 weeks in April. If noise makes you scared then do not go see horror movies. Another 4000 drop I would love to see as I will buy a load more knowing 24k to 32k will happen ie 33 percent gain even if in two years. Always own what you’d want more of in a fall. You realise if you’re the calm or panic type not on paper exercises but reality. Some stock will fall and stay down. That’s why you don’t gamble on one stock and leave room in a portfolio for that to happen. If you don’t like red you don’t become a trader. Instead You don’t look at red. As Buffett said “if you can’t stand stocks dropping 50 percent then you gave no business investing”. If you think the high point of a portfolio is money in the bank then you forgot it’s not yours until banked. Buffett loves falling markets. Because if you own companies for the right reason ie not hope then you love the chance to buy more and do not panic.
