THE BEST FORM OF CHARITY:
(giving while you're healthy, hopeful of becoming wealthy and fearful of poverty)
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ، يَا رَسُولَ الله أَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ : "أَنْ تَصَدَّقَ وَأَنْتَ صَحِيحٌ حَرِيصٌ. تَأْمُلُ الْغِنَى، وَتَخْشَى الْفَقْرَ، وَلاَ تُمْهِلْ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ قُلْتَ لِفُلاَنٍ كَذَا وَلِفُلاَنٍ كَذَا، وَقَدْ كَانَ لِفُلاَنٍ ".
Narrated Abu Hurairah -raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhu :
“A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, "O Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ)! What kind of charity is best?" He replied. "To give in charity while you are healthy and greedy hoping to be wealthy and afraid of becoming poor. Don't delay giving in charity till the time when you are on the death bed when you say, 'Give this much to so-and-so and that much to so-and-so,' and at that time the property is not yours but it belongs to so-and-so (i.e. your inheritors).”
[Reported by Bukhāri & Muslim]

I hope everyone is doing well. Whoever is able to help with this situation, please do so. Help is not limited to financial assistance; you can also ask others, share this message, and spread the word so that those who are able to help can contribute.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Begging is not permissible except for one of three: a person who has incurred a debt, a person whose wealth has been destroyed by a calamity, or a person who has been struck by poverty.”
[Sahih Muslim 1044]
So whoever is able to assist, whether financially or by helping spread the message to others who may be able to help, please do so. May Allah reward everyone who contributes and makes things easier for those in need.
