Design Client Simulator 2.0 Friends! The client negotiation simulator has been updated. Besides a visual refresh, I've improved all sorts of things under the bonnet: a new model, more adaptive dialogue, more varied client behaviour and more substantial conversation. You can still hit Debrief to get a short analysis of your dialogue, and save it to Word as a keepsake. Happy negotiating! https://client.steblina.com —— KnowHowToDesign https://linktr.ee/steblina

Apple Music logo Absolutely lovely approach to making a logo. Reminded me of how the Windows startup screen was made. It would be interesting to see how liquids of different viscosity behave. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XxNXkOHKZw —— KnowHowToDesign https://linktr.ee/steblina

Signs of bad service messages A good message doesn't leave the reader (the passenger) hanging. Any bureaucratic brain ignores this simple idea, which is why we see friendly but useless messages: "This terminal is out of order. We apologise"; "The metro entrance is temporarily closed. Sorry for the temporary inconvenience"; "Road closed. Works in progress." There's no care in them, just municipal formalism, even if you write "sorry". And however you lay it out, you're still left with bullshit on the meta level. And here are some examples of good messages: "This terminal is out of order. We apologise. The nearest terminal is at 25 Pushkinskaya St." "The metro entrance is temporarily closed. Please use another concourse ↱." "Road closed. Works in progress until 20 October. Please use the diversion (map or arrow)." The person is saved, not left alone with the problem. Someone has looked after them and offered a way out or an alternative. A designer should always remember: substance → usefulness → appearance. —— KnowHowToDesign https://linktr.ee/steblina
