A new episode with Ethiopia Lemma Yemiru. This one is for anyone applying for a scholarship, and it gives a different insight from what we have had before. Ethiopia studied in the United Kingdom on a Chevening scholarship, and she comes from a social science and arts background, not medicine. If you know someone with a social science background, this is the episode to send them. We already have a Chevening conversation on this channel. This one does not repeat it, it adds to it. Ethiopia has returned, and she works as a consultant at the World Bank. Not everyone leaves for good. Some people choose to come back, and that choice is part of this conversation too. https://youtu.be/1eN-ww1k0j8

📢 A quick community update! We’re going strong and adding to our archive of scholarship, education, and career journeys. This season, we’ll welcome more voices from beyond medicine! To make room for that wider community, Hakim Podcast is becoming Agar Podcast (አጋር). An ally in Amharic, a medium for growth in biology, a fitting name for what we’re building together. Thank you for being part of the journey!
