Charitable soup kitchens have become the only real alternative source of food, but they too face difficulties that threaten their shutdown, as they do not reach all areas of the strip and face ongoing threats of direct targeting and bombardment, which have been carried out multiple times, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded. Among the ruins of homes destroyed by the war, karate practitioners in Gaza performed coordinated combat movements amid the rubble and displacement tents. The display involved children and young people trained under the conditions of war, displacement, and extremely difficult humanitarian circumstances. The sport has served as a form of psychological therapy for a number of children affected by the consequences of the war who needed a means to help them overcome the psychological pressures they endured.
