If you're seeing battery drain on the 5.4-6.12 kernel build, run this module for 2–3 days and send me the log file. It records what keeps the phone awake and what uses power, so I can find the cause.
Install
1. Download drainlog-v6.zip.
2. KernelSU / KernelSU-Next: Modules → Install → pick the zip. Magisk 27+ works too.
3. Reboot. Logging starts about 30 s after boot.
Use the phone normally for 2–3 days
- Let it go through normal cycles: use on battery, idle overnight, charge.
- Turn wireless debugging off. It keeps Wi-Fi waking the phone and drains the battery by itself.
- No need to open anything. The module runs in the background.
Send the logs
1. Open the KernelSU / Magisk manager and tap Action on the Raphael drain logger module.
2. That saves Download/drainlog-raphael-<date>.tar.gz.
3. Send that file here, along with a line on what you noticed ("lost 20% overnight", "hot while charging"...).
What it logs
- On battery: drain rate (mA, %/h), how much of the time the phone stays awake, deep sleep, how well the modem, DSPs, DDR and CX power domains sleep, the top wakeup sources, interrupts and apps by CPU time.
- On the charger: charger type (PD / QC3 / QC2 / normal / PC USB), voltage and current, input power, whether fast charging (charge pump) was used, and how much charge and time each session took.
Battery impact: effectively none. The logger doesn't poll, set timers or wake the phone. It only wakes up for battery and charger events the kernel sends anyway, about 0.4 s of CPU per hour on battery.
Privacy: the file contains device and build info, Android battery stats (including app package names), and the kernel log. The serial number and CPU ID are removed. It has no messages, contacts, location or Wi-Fi passwords.
When done: remove the module in the manager and reboot. The logs on the phone are deleted automatically. The exported file in Download/ stays until you delete it.
