EPSU and Nankai University Initiate Landmark Collaboration TIANJIN, CHINA: In a major step toward expanding its global academic networks, the Ethiopian Public Service University (EPSU) has officially initiated an inter-institutional collaboration with Nankai University’s Zhou Enlai School of Government. The partnership was initiated during a high-level bilateral Academic Seminar held on October 23, 2026 at Nankai University’s Zhou Enlai School of Government in Tianjin, China, bringing together senior executive leadership and distinguished faculty from both institutions to map out strategic collaboration opportunities in public sector transformation and governance. The high-level bilateral Academic Seminar featured key delegates and discussants from both institutions: Dr. Amanuel Kussia, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Ethiopian Public Service University Dr. Dereje Teklemariam, Director, International Collaboration and Partnership Directorate, Ethiopian Public Service University Prof. Sun Mingshi, Deputy Dean, Zhou Enlai School of Government, Nankai University Prof. Zhang Zhidong, Deputy Dean, National School of Governance, Nankai University   Prof. Liu Jinghua, Deputy Dean, Institute for International Organizations and Global South Studies, Nankai University During the seminar, representatives outlined mission-aligned strategic priorities to catalyze transformative cooperation. Core deliberations focused on establishing dynamic student and staff mobility frameworks, delivering high-impact executive public administration training, and driving joint research initiatives and collaborative scholarly engagements. These institutional partnerships are crafted to elevate academic exchange, cultivate visionary administrative leadership, and expand long-term institutional capacity, with the ultimate goal of accelerating public sector modernization, advancing citizen-centric service delivery, and generating sustainable public value. As a concrete next step, both parties agreed to formalize the partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and designing a joint action plan to execute these actionable priorities. The initiation of this partnership underscores EPSU's steadfast commitment to establishing high-impact international alliances that advance public service excellence and promote global knowledge sharing.
