How to set up Muse on iOS
Most AI tools wait for your question. Muse does not. Meta’s personal AI agent has launched in Singapore, and the difference is simple: a chatbot answers, an agent acts. Muse reads your email, plans the trip, compares prices on Shopee, fills in the form and pays at checkout, coming back to you only when it needs a decision.
Three things set it apart. It runs on its own cloud computer, the Muse Secure VM, so it keeps working after you close the app. A separate agent called Sentinel must approve anything Muse sends to the internet, and your passwords and card details sit in storage Muse can use but never see. And it plans: give it a goal and it builds the plan, checking with you before it sends or buys anything.
In Singapore it is now on iOS, Android and muse.ai, with Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram available from day one. Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada are early local partners, with features rolling out progressively. It is free for most everyday use, and you must be 18 or older.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝗽
Do not set up an agent like a new phone, connecting and allowing everything. Treat it like onboarding an executive assistant. Start with 2-3 workflows, let it read before it acts, keep approvals on for anything that sends, spends or publishes, and add payments last.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭: 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘁
Download Muse from the App Store or Google Play, or go to muse.ai, and sign in with your Meta account.
Invite code, use: SO2GVN
Then name your agent and set its tone. Pick the tone you would want.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮: 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁
In Settings, open Data Controls and decide whether your conversations can train Meta’s models. This is likely on by default, so check. Then review what is already connected, since accounts in your Meta Accounts Center may appear without you doing anything. Meta says Muse does not share your conversations with its ad systems.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘀, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆
Under Settings, then Connectors, link the apps your first workflows need. For most people that is Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram. Business owners can add their Instagram professional account, Facebook Page and tools such as Shopify or Stripe. Start email on read only, and when Muse asks for permission mid task, choose Allow One Time rather than Always Allow until the workflow has earned it.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰: 𝗔𝗱𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗲
This is what makes the local launch matter. Link Shopee or Lazada for price comparison, Grab for GrabMart and Dine Out, ShopBack for cashback, and Singapore Airlines, Agoda or Klook for travel. Not every partner will be live yet. Start with research, and keep approval on before anything is booked.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟱: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀
In the Feed tab, describe what you want each morning: the emails that need you, the meetings to prepare for, the numbers you track. In the Goals tab, describe what you are working toward. Muse turns each goal into a plan and checks in, so conversations start with context.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟲: 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁 some 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸s
Try something reversible: “Find two hours of focus time on my calendar this week and suggest which meetings to move.” Then read the activity log. You will learn more about an agent from its log than from any demo.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟳: 𝗔𝗱𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁
Make your first purchase small and refundable. If you wish to store logins on Muse, start with pre-paid accounts (funded before hand), and never your bank details.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟴: 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸
Read the log, disconnect what you no longer use and tell Muse to forget what it should not keep.
