Ford Raptor T1+ дебютирует в североамериканских гонках на Vegas to Reno

Ford Raptor T1+ впервые выйдет на старт соревнований в Северной Америке, приняв участие в 30-й гонке Casey Folks Vegas to Reno, которая пройдет 13–16 августа. Заводской ралли-рейдовый автомобиль, разработанный Ford Performance совместно с M-Sport для чемпионата мира FIA по ралли-рейдам и «Дакара», поведут Митч Гатри-младший и штурман Келлон Уолч.

Гонка протяжённостью более 500 миль (около 805 км) через пустыню Невады также станет самым длинным непрерывным спецучастком, который Ford Raptor T1+ преодолевал с момента своего дебюта. Впервые в истории соревнования маршрут пройдет в обратном направлении — старт будет дан в Рино, а финиш состоится в Лас-Вегасе.

Well, Italy is Italy. Hot, humid. The roads are interesting, but only on the first loop. On the second loop, it turns into hell. If you’re going faster than about 40 km/h, you’re basically driving in a constant light knockout state. So, business as usual. Yeah, it was +44 during the day. The air conditioning helps, but not much.
Otherwise, Italy stays true to itself. Today there were cars in ditches, cars hanging in trees, a Toyota burned down. Just like at the toughest events.
The only unpleasant thing, probably, is that the organizers tried a new tracking device, which for some reason didn’t work. As far as I know, at least half of the competitors had issues—it didn’t work in speed limit zones, didn’t record tracking points, and didn’t function during neutralization. I don’t know what the stewards will decide about this now. There are some questions—we’re waiting for their decision.
