During busy clinical work, almost all of us have experienced the friction of double-checking complex drug dosage calculations or navigating reference materials under pressure.
To simplify and optimize this daily practice, I built #MeDs—a lightweight, mobile-responsive web utility designed around local treatment guidelines to assist with rapid clinical calculations.
MeDs key features:
✓ Focused specifically on commonly used medications and treatment guidelines in Ethiopia
✓ Simple browser-based medication dose calculator and reference tool for daily practice
✓ Clear drug indications for clinical reference
✓ Integrated drug safety profiles, including pregnancy categories
✓ Progressive Web App (PWA) support with seamless offline capability
How to Access and InstallMeDs
You can use MeDs directly in your browser or install it for quick access on your devices via the web link: https://solomongamachu-max.github.io/Meds-software-/
For Mobile Devices: Open the link above, tap the three dots (...) in the upper right corner of your browser, and select "Install and create shortcut" or "Add to Home Screen."
For Desktops / Laptops:
Open the link above, click the three dots (...) in the upper right corner, navigate to More tools > Apps, and select "Install as an app."
(Once loaded for the first time, it operates smoothly even without an active internet connection.)
NB: MeDs is an independent personal project intended strictly as a supportive quick-reference aid. It does not replace standard textbooks, national guidelines, or professional clinical judgment.
I created this tool to address common daily workflow challenges and would appreciate fellow physicians, residents, and interns testing it, reviewing its functionality, and sharing constructive feedback for future enhancements.
Note: Please utilize the built-in feedback and comment section within the application to share any suggestions, ideas, or insights.
