Allāh ﷻ says

مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُۥ فِيهَا مَا نَشَآءُ لِمَن نُّرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَىٰهَا مَذْمُومًۭا مَّدْحُورًۭا

Whoever desires the quick-passing [transitory enjoyment of this world], We readily grant him what We will for whom We like. Then, afterwards, We have appointed for him Hell; he will burn therein disgraced and rejected.

وَمَنْ أَرَادَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ وَسَعَىٰ لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُم مَّشْكُورًۭا

And whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it, with the necessary effort due for it while he is a believer, then such are the ones whose striving shall be appreciated, [rewarded by Allāh].
[17:18-19]

سبحان الله

Allāh ﷻ mentions in Surah Qiyamah

كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ

Nay! You love the present life [of this world]

وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ

And neglect the hereafter.
[75:20-21]

This Dunya, is worth so little to Allāh ﷻ,
That he provides water to those who do the greatest crime!
Those who associate partners with Allāh ﷻ!
In a Hadith the Prophet ﷺ said "If this Dunya was worth more than the wing of a mosquito, then Allāh would not have given a single disbeliever a drop of water"
[Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2320, Grade: Sahih]
_
The creator of this Dunya has clarified for you, warned you that His creation, this Dunya is worth nothing!
This Dunya is temporary and you're only being tested here!
And you will come to an end!
_
الَّذِي خَلَقَ المَوتَ وَ الحَيَاة

He who created Death and Life

لِيَبلُوَكُم أَيُّكُم أَحسَنُ عَمَلًا...

To test you, which of you is best in Deed!...
[67:2]
_
Then does it make sense to cling to this Dunya, blindly without reasoning?
Or does it make sense to respond to Allāh ﷻ and pass this test through His obedience and worship?
_
وَٱللَّهُ يَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ دَارِ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ...

Allāh is calling to the abode of peace!...
[10:25]
_
And He ﷻ also says

...وَلَلدَّارُ ٱلأخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

...And the abode of the hereafter is better for those who have Taqwa.Will you not reason?
[6:32]
_
Oh Ibn Adam! Will you not reason?
Will you not wake up from your heedlessness?
Will you not turn back to Allāh ﷻ?
_
May Allāh ﷻ guide us, forgive all our sins and enter us into Jannah Al Firdous.

Mu’adh ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الْمُتَحَابُّونَ فِي جَلَالِي لَهُمْ مَنَابِرُ مِنْ نُورٍ يَغْبِطُهُمْ النَّبِيُّونَ وَالشُّهَدَاءُ

“Allāh Almighty said: Those who love each other for the sake of my glory will be upon pulpits of light, admired by the prophets and the martyrs.”
[Sunan al-Tirmidhi‌ 2390, Grade: Sahih]

They only loved each other for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, they gathered in the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ, and they separated in the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ.

And Allāh ﷻ says

وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا

But those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups
[39:73]

Ibn Al Qayyim رحمه الله said "Allāh refuses to let a slave enter paradise by himself, rather they will enter in groups together"

Imagine you and your brothers, entering Jannah holding each other's hands.

Allāh ﷻ says

إِنَّمَا المُؤمِنُونَ إِخوَة

Indeed the believers are but brothers
[49:10]
_
In another Hadith,
which details the 7 categories of people that will be under the shade of Allāh ﷻ. One of them was:

ورجلان تحابا في اللَّه اجتمعا عليه وتفرقا عليه

" And two people who loved each other for the sake of Allāh, they gathered upon it and they separated upon it"
[Sahih al-Bukha‌ri‌ 629, Sahih Muslim 1031]

On top of this,
The Prophet ﷺ mentioned this category on its own!
قال رسول الله ﷺ:
إن اللَّه تعالى يقول يوم القيامة: أين المتحابون بجلالي؟ اليوم أظلهم في ظلي يوم لا ظل إلا ظلي

The Prophet ﷺ said;
Indeed Allāh will say on Qiyamah "Where are those who loved for the sake of my glory? Today I will shade them in my shade on a day when there is no shade except my shade"
[Sahih Muslim 2566]
سبحان الله
_
So if you want these rewards, surround yourself with good friends who love you for the sake of Allāh ﷻ nothing less!
You'll bring out the goodness in each other and earn the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ.
_
May Allāh ﷻ make us among those who love for the sake of Allāh and hate for the sake of Allāh ﷻ.

A Day Allāh ﷻ Warns us About

Allāh ﷻ says

يُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ يَفۡتَدِي مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِئِذِۭ بِبَنِيهِ

They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children

وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَأَخِيهِ

And his wife and his brother,

وَفَصِيلَتِهِ ٱلَّتِى تُـْٔوِيهِ

And his nearest kindred who shelter him

وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ يُنجِيهِ

And whoever is on earth entirely [so] then it could save him.
[70:11-14]
_
This is what the day of Qiyamah will bring!
Everybody will be concerned with themselves!
_
Not even your mother will want you nor your father!
_
As Allāh ﷻ says

لِكُلِّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ شَأۡنٞ يُغۡنِيهِ

For every man, that Day will be a matter adequate for him.
[80:37]

No ransom will be accepted from him even if he brought all of the people of the earth (as ransom), and the greatest wealth that he could find, even if it was enough gold to fill the entire earth.
_
But he will bring forth his children and wealth even then!
The sheer desperation of this person is apparent.
_
So why do we turn a blind eye to this day?
The day Allāh ﷻ warns us about,

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ يَوْمًۭا لَّا تَجْزِى نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا شَفَٰعَةٌۭ وَلَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌۭ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ

And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be taken from it, nor will they be aided.
[2:48]
_
If your own family will try and ransom you before Allāh ﷻ,
What about the girl you fool around with?
What about the friends you sinned with?
What do you think they'll try and do?
_
Turn back to Allāh ﷻ, repent and strive for righteousness
_
As Allāh ﷻ says

ٱلۡأَخِلَّآءُ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بَعۡضُهُمۡ لِبَعۡضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ

Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous
[43:67]
_
Why do we act like we can alter the justice of Allāh ﷻ on Qiyamah, by only preparing our Dunya, but not for our Akhirah!
_
This Dunya and its wealth won't avail you!
So why do you seek it?
_
May Allāh ﷻ protect us, forgive us and grant us an easy reckoning on the Day of Judgement.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ

THE POWER OF THE QUR'AN

Allāh ﷻ says in Surah An-Najm

أَفَمِنْ هَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ

Do you then wonder at this recitation.

Meaning, out of doubt.

وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ

And you laugh and do not weep

Meaning, you laugh at it and mock and you don't weep just as those who believe weep.

وَأَنْتُمْ سَامِدُونَ

Whilst persisting in heedlessness

فَاسْجُدُواْ لِلَّهِ وَاعْبُدُوا

So fall you down in prostration to Allāh and worship Him.
[53:59-62]

Narrated by Abdullah bin Mas`ud:
The Prophet ﷺ recited Surat-an-Najm (53) and prostrated while reciting it and all the people prostrated and a man amongst the people took a handful of stones or earth and raised it to his face and said, "This is sufficient for me. Later on, I saw him killed as a non-believer."
[Sahih Al-Bukhari 1070]

سبحان الله

Let us contemplate this great event!
By the power of the Qur'an, everybody save 1 was compelled into Sujood in sheer awe!
_
The Jinn, The Mushrikeen and the Mu'mineen!
And we are among the Mu'mineen!
_
Yet, our hearts have hardened like the hearts of Bani Isra'eel after they saw a miracle of Allāh ﷻ.

ثُمَّ قَسَت قُلُوبُكُم بَعَدَ ذَلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالحِجَارَةِ اَو أَشَدُّ قَسوَة

Then your hearts became hardened after that like stone or harder.
[2:74]
_
We see, hear and read the Miracle of Allāh ﷻ, the Qur'an!
The same Qur'an Allāh ﷻ says

لَو أَنزَلنَا هَذَا القُرآنَ عَلٰى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُتَصَدِّعًا مِّن خَشيَةِ الله...

Had we revealed this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have surely seen it tremble and crumble out of the fear of Allāh...
[59:21]
_
This same Qur'an!
Our hearts have become full of sickness and darkness and it has made it harder than the mountain!
For the mountain would have crumbled out of fear,
Yet we are not shaken.
_
Ponder over the Ayaat!
How much do we laugh? Do we mock? How much do we doubt?
How we are distracted while the Qur'an is recited!
_
We need to return to the Qur'an!
And only by understanding it and reciting it will we ever feel its words penetrate our hearts and affect them!
_
أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ

Indeed with the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest!
[13:28]
_
May Allāh ﷻ make us among the people of the Qur'an and grant us forgiveness.

The Qur'an and Sunnah are full of references to Paradise and the great reward that is in store for those who believe and do righteousness in this life. The reward for goodness is eternal goodness, and the reward for evil is torment and despair.

Rewards for men and women are equally gratifying. No one will feel any resentment towards others, nor envy. Peace is the state in which all will exist forever, regardless of any differences they may have had in this life.

Allāh ﷻ says:

وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيرًا

And whoever does righteous good deeds, male or female, and is a true believer in the Oneness of Allâh (Muslim), such will enter Paradise and not the least injustice, even to the size of a Naqîra (speck on the back of a date­stone), will be done to them.
[4:124]

They will wear the finest clothing and live in the best of surroundings.

It was narrated by Imam Muslim that Abu Bakr ibn `Abdullah ibn Qais reported on the authority of his father that Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ said that in Paradise there would be for a believer a tent of a single hollowed pearl the breadth of which would be sixty miles. It would be meant for a believer, and the believers would go around it and none would be able to see the others.

As Allāh ﷻ says:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ

Allāh will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow: they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments there will be of silk.
[22:23]

He ﷻ also says:

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ▪️ لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ▪️فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ▪️لَا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةً▪️فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ▪️فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ▪️وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ▪️وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ▪️وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ

[Other] faces that Day will be joyful, pleased with their striving, in a Garden on high, where they shall hear no [word] of vanity: Therein will be a bubbling spring: Therein will be thrones [of dignity], raised on high, goblets placed [ready], and cushions set in rows, and rich carpets [all] spread out.
[88:8-16]

Trees bearing fruits of all kinds, and of types we have not seen or imagined, will be there for those who strived to do their best in this life.

Rivers of wine that does not intoxicate, rivers of honey, the purest of waters, and milk are all waiting for believers to enjoy.

Eternal youth will be the state of existence for those who inhabit Paradise.

The food of Paradise is so pure that their bodies will not produce any wastes, only sweat whose fragrance is musk.

But just as the best things in this life do not come easy, neither does the reward of Paradise come cheap. It is something that requires great effort on our part as Muslims to live a righteous life in Islam and invite others to it as well.

We must struggle with our utmost effort to achieve excellence in everything we do and in every relationship we have so that we can achieve the utmost in rewards, Paradise.

Allāh ﷻ says:

وَسَارِعُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that [of the whole] of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous.
[3:133]

May Allāh ﷻ bless and reward us, and lead us all to what pleases Him. آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
