The State of the Map Latin America conference is taking place 27-29 October in Mexico City. If you want to help participants to find their way around town, we will do one more map generation on the 25th, so there's still time to add to OpenStreetMap or review POI via Mangrove Reviews/MapComplete.
Our contributor Bastian will be there to give a talk about CoMaps and distribute some of our stickers. If you'd like to meet up, get in touch via our community channels 🙂

Since a few days, we got our first CDN node in Latin America. Provided and run by the amazing Undernet community in Uruguay.
Thanks to them, users in the region will benefit from faster map downloads. For a start, we are exploring how well it works with users based out of Uruguay, Argentina and Venezuela.

CoMaps release 2026.10.05 is now out via F-Droid, IzzyOnDroid, Codeberg and on iOS via the AppStore.

New features on Android include links to add Mangrove reviews via MapComplete and for iOS the support for CarPlay Dashboard.

The Google Play release is still waiting for review as has unfortunately become custom with their approval process.
