You were arrested in the Netherlands in 1995, when you were 40, one day before your 41st birthday. Since 1998, you have been permanently imprisoned. How are you doing? Before your arrest, you had a turbulent life. How did you spend your years in prison? What are your prospects for release? In 2023, the Advisory Board for Long-Term Prisoners advised the Minister to initiate a reintegration program in preparation for your release. The Minister accepted the recommendation, but you are still in prison. Is it true that you want to work on your reintegration in another country and that this country has already indicated its willingness to cooperate? You declared that you were tortured in Turkey and that assassination attempts were made against you. Do you fear for your life once you leave prison? Do you still have any possessions? Or has everything been taken from you by the Dutch authorities? You state that you were not convicted of the charges against you, but because of the Demmink case. Why is this your conviction? In September 2002, shortly after you were sentenced to life imprisonment, Demmink visited you in your cell, as I read in Rein Gerritsen's book. If you signed something, you could be released. What exactly did he ask you to sign, and why didn't you? Do I understand correctly that Demmink falsely presented himself to you as “judge and chairman of a Supervisory Committee" ? At what point did you get the impression that your case was connected to Demmink's child abuse in Turkey ? In April 2007, you filed a complaint against Demmink for indecent assault on minors in Turkey. What prompted you to do this? Turkish investigative journalist Burhan Kazmali first published information about Hüseyin Celebi's EC RAPOR at the end of 2007. Who commissioned Celebi to write a report on the role of the Turkish state and government officials in international drug trafficking? And why was this commission given? Who had an interest in handing this report over to an investigative journalist? Since 2003, much has been published in the Dutch press about Demmink and child abuse. Two Turkish young men have filed charges against Demmink. They made statements against him on camera. Police officer Mehmet K. testified that he supplied the underage boys to Demmink. It has also been proven that Demmink visited Turkey, although he initially denied this. Are there still elements in the Demmink dossier that Turkey could use to blackmail the Netherlands? Do you consider yourself a political prisoner? If so, have you contacted Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch about this? How do they view this? Rein Gerritsen's book states that from 1980 to 1984 you accompanied diplomatic and trade missions for the Turkish government as a security advisor and liaison officer? Is this true? And if so, is there a way to verify this ? You were arrested and convicted in England in 1984 for involvement in drug smuggling. What might that involvement have entailed? And how did the British authorities come to this conclusion? Is it true that when you were arrested in England, you were traveling under a diplomatic passport and a false name? Why a false name? You told me over the phone about the two press conferences in 1989. The first was given by you, and the second by a police commissioner after you had been tortured. Can you please tell again what happened in these press conferences? Is it true that after your arrest in England in 1984, you never again became involved in drug smuggling or other criminal activities? After fleeing Turkey, you became a businessman. What company or companies did you own when you were arrested in the Netherlands in 1996? Is it true that you did not have permission to enter the Netherlands at that time, and that this was also not permitted without the express permission of the British government? And if so, why was that? Is it true that the arrest in the Netherlands occurred at the request of the Turkish authorities? And if so, had the Turkish authorities previously requested your arrest from
