Starting from version 1.2.70, the Spotify developers enabled signature protection for their Windows client, because of this all binary patches in SpotX broke, namely:
• blocking ads slots
• blocking official updates
• blocking sending analytics
• also incorrect operation of remote config (broken yet 1.2.69)
For the patches to work again, I need to bypass CEF’s signature verification protection, but for now I have no ideas how to do this.
if someone is good at reverse engineering or just knows how to work with binary files, then welcome to my dms
as for linux and mac, I have nothing to say yet, as soon as jetfire checks them it will become clearer whether they implemented something similar there or not
Theoretically, I can port all the broken patches to js, but that will be sometime in september or later, I’m not sure exactly since I’m still on vacation
For now, the latest fully working version for SpotX is 1.2.68 and all versions below
Installation command:
iex "& { $(iwr -useb 'https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SpotX-Official/spotx-official.github.io/main/run.ps1') } -new_theme -v 1.2.68.528.g50f97d42-1008 -sp-over -block_update_on"
or use other ad blockers like spicetify, it should probably work since they are completely js
