On the traces of worlds. Experiencing a developing country, like here on Hispaniola, reflects humanity back to me. On the one hand, the beauty of nature, and on the other, waste everywhere. About 50-60 years ago, in Switzerland we were in the same situation. We buried all our waste in the pit. We've evolved, and today we know more about waste, what it does to nature, and the health of humans and animals. With this observation, I want to remind you not to judge. Auf den Spuren der Welten. Ein Land der dritten Welt zu erleben, wie hier auf Hispaniola, zeigt mir den Spiegel des Menschen auf. Einerseits die Schönheit der Natur und andererseits überall Abfall. Vor ca. 50-60 Jahren standen wir in der Schweiz am selben Punkt. Wir verbuddelten sämtlichen Abfall in der Grube. Wir haben uns entwickelt und heute wissen wir mehr über Abfall, was er für die Natur und die Gesundheit von Mensch und Tier anstellt.
